Derby Sketching Club Art

Exhibition.

14 and 15 August.

AT Grange Hall,

Park Lane

Littleover.

Art works for sale at competitive prices.

Refreshments available.

In 1949 Chris Rollett of Whatstanwell painted this portrait of Audrey Mellor at a meeting of the Derby Sketching Club. Chris called the painting the red Hat and it was exhibited in the Derby Art Gallery annual exhibition that year.

Audrey was kind enough  to once again sit for the club at their Tuesday morning portrait meeting. Many thanks to Audrey for allowing us to reproduce her portrait and for modelling for us once more.

If anyone can let me have any details about the artist it would be much appreciated.

Keith
